3mm FT Conversion

Hey all,

I am in the process of converting the FliteTest Plans to 3mm Foam board Kits.

I will advise when they will be available.

The aim is to keep the kit cost under R150.00

Watch this space for further information.

PS! FT-3D, FT-22, FT-Bloody Wounder and FT-Flyer will be the first converted.

ADD That extra Gear(ch5) and AUX1 (CH6) on that Quattro

This is a rehash of MR. RC-CAMS article on RC Groups.

This hack work and is 100% accurate.

Just a WARNING!!!!!!!

Don't do this unless you have proper experience in Hardware modifications and can accept that your JR Quattro TX can break!!

The full Blog post can be found below...
MR. RC.CAMS 6CH hack on Quattro

The MODE Hack is R29/28 ()

The Bridge on the Blue Position =  MODE 2
The Bridge on the Right Position = MODE 1

Happy Hunting

JR Quattro Mode 1 to 2 modification

This is a fairly easy solder job but not reccomended for the novice as it intails working with SMC components.

WARNING!!!!!!!
Don't do this unless you are willing to possibly break your radio..

Step 1:
Remove the Battery and Chrystal,
Remove the 6 x Phillips head screws holding the radio together.

Step 2:
Move the Ratchet, Level and Level Spring to the desired position.

Step 3:
Remove the 4 microcontroller PCD retainer screws

Step 4:(Point of no return)
(if radio is in mode 1 move the Bridge (0ohm resistor) from red to green) and other way around if Mode 2
Step 5:
Reverse the stripping process and test.

if all is good RX Channel 1 = Throttle and corresponds to the throttle stick

:)

Salvage that old radio

I will embark on a quest to salvage that old analog FM radio and give it new meaning.

My first Project is the JR JLine Quattro:

1st Part to come this week is a set of hardware hacks to enable channels 5 (Gear Switch) and 6 (Aux1)
(Credit to Mr. RC-CAM)
2nd Part is Mode 1 to 2 Controller Hack (Not just Gimbal mod but PCB change (Single Jumper Hack))
(Did this last night)
3rd Hack will be the Dual Rates switching.
(Will do this weekend)
and Finally an old Analogue TX Elevon Mixer Module.
(Will do this soon)
